IT‘S ALL ABOUT EXPERIENCE.
The reason to do this kind of ‚sport‘ is not just to go by 4×4, it‘s about the locations you get when travelling off the roads.
But before you can start your adventures out there with your family and friends, you should know some basics about expedition safety, driving technique, limits of your crew, navigation, first aid in difficult situations and many, many more things. Going safely offroad with your loved ones is a skill package and should obviously not be a spontaneous holiday entertainment, unless you book a guided tour.
‚You’re going offroad’ doesn‘t say anything about how easy or difficult the chosen terrain is or how dangerous outside conditions are. Things turn very quickly from fun to horror when you don‘t know what you‘re doing.
Know your limit, play within it!
To find the end of my comfort zone and to learn as fast as possible, back then my team and me decided to take part in an Offroad Trophy in the carpathian mountains, called SUPERKARPATA TROPHY.
‚Where is the risk at!?‘
A short video of one of our tours in 2014 shows some great moments and why it‘s not just all about cars.
EVEN AFTER ALL I LOVE IT.
After collecting moments and experience in more extreme offroading the impact of this lifestyle on my life was bigger than expected. Aside of offroad cars I started with Side-by-Side Quads. Living on the countryside it is more of a tool for me, it plows, tows and it’s a great allroud-worker up on the mountain. Again a little step in learning how the limit feels…
BUT THE MAIN REASON FOR ME GOING 4X4 IS BEING SOMEWHERE SPECIAL WITH THE ONES I LOVE.
Being off the road and beaten tracks means you are responsible for each other. More than in a controlled situation at home you have to rely on each other and be sure to get everybody home safely. But you also share all those moments as a family or team. Moments where you feel like an explorer, being the first one to discover a tiny part of the world. You share fear and tears as well as euphoria and forgotten happiness.
